What an awfully played game on my part. I should convince Mikey T to stay in TO and skip in place of me. It was an interesting game with two blank ends, the 1st and 3rd. McCoy struck first with 3 after icky missed his final takeout. Team Martin responds with 2 in the 4th. In the 5th, Team Martin was in trouble after McCoy made a nice raise. After lengthy deliberation, icky decides to play a safer shot (one where a miss would not open up the possibility of giving up 4. He elected to play an in-off on a rock near the sheet 1 board by taking negative ice. Icky took too much negative ice, but fortunately, McCoy missed his draw. In end 6, Team Martin was in position to take a couple until McCoy plays a fantastic quiet hit to sit one. Icky plays an "oh shit" shot that never had a chance (it was badly thrown and iszy is convinced it picked pretty much out of my hand). We trail by 4. After setting up the end nicely in the 7th and last end, especially the nice raise take-out by ikey, icky had a final chance to split a rock in on his last to score 4 and garner a tie. The amount of ice was tough to call, resulting in 3. We lost 6-5 and then had to wait for the results of Donaldson vs Needham. Donaldson was heavily favoured as Needham was 0-4 going in (plus Donaldson played really well against us last week). Donaldson led by 4 or 5 at one point, but Needham's team battled back to tie going to the last. With Needham sitting one, he hogs his first skip stone. Barry is unable to make his shot. Needham's final was another guard (slightly too wide), leaving Barry one last chance to catch the button to win. He is unable to promote his own rock. The Needham victory puts us as B4 and leaves us in the division (we beat out Donaldson by 0.5 ends). Szabo is going to A and Hirbod stays in C on Tuesday.

And, I am guaranteeing a victory next week in our rematch against McCoy!
