mixed curling fun night turned out to be very fun. icky decided he needed to change his complete wardrobe to turn around the downward spiral his curling has come to, so he ditched the hat in favour of gelling his hair, he wore a different pair of curling khakis which he hasn't worn yet this season, and he brought out of retirement the white engineering golf shirt that he wore through most of last season. well it worked. team martin played with the hogans, with icky, shang, ted sherwood, and a spare pitted against, toni sherwood, a spare, hai, and tricky on the opposition side. shang called correctly on heads to win the toss AGAIN! (that's 5/6 for those keeping score at home) icky curled nearly a flawless game today, putting every draw in the right spots behind cover, positioning guards to perfection, and making hit after hit like in the good ol' days. he even did his stoughton 360 slide on his final rock, a raise for 2 that he miscalled the sweeping because he thought he was too light (the shot would have been made if he didn't call the sweepers on). we took the game 11-3.

icky felt extremely good out there today and this has given him a najor confidence boost for tomorrow's bonspiel (where the orginal team martin reunites) and for his games next week.
