The plot thickens...

After this week's games, icky extends his winning streak to 7, though one win was from a default in mens (although we should have easily won that game anyways) and the other on Friday mixed had icky absent with inky (kenny) subbing in at second stones. Supposedly that brought some luck as Yuval managed to finish 8 ends for the first time (probably). There was also stuff about Mary mistaking Kenny's name for Candy and Kenny's "sensual cleaning" of the rocks.

Sunday Mixed yesterday featured very poor shooting by icky but the team played solid against a skipless team to trounce the opposition 13-3. Ick'y crap shots featured 3 hogged rocks (though the sweeping could have been more vigorous as they all landed on the hog line!) and two 360 deliveries in the 8th end, one into the house with backing and another takeout, both thrown successfully. We have now outscored the opposition 47-15 on Sundays.

The Men's standings have tightened up in our pool as follows:
Elgie 4-0
Reynolds 3-1
Martin 2-2
Marianchuk 2-2
Varsity Men 1-3
Bousfield 0-4
With Marianchuk playing Elgie, Marianchuk should end up at 2-3 along with the Varsity Men who should beat Bousfield. Even with a loss, Team Martin will likely not finish worse than 3rd in the pool due to their higher starting position against Marianchuk and the Varsity Men. A win against Reynolds would give Team Martin second place in the pool and a chance to move up depending on what happens in Div A action, though a loss would likely keep us in Div B.

The overall records are as follows:
Men: 2-2
Friday Mixed: 3-1
Sunday Mixed: 4-1
Total: 9-4
