Make it 11!

Team Martin was up against Team Ritchie tonight. As we all recall, Aidan only has a losing record against icky (0-1) and Chris McHugh also has a losing record against icky (1-2). Ikey proceeds to lose another toss.

End 1: Aidan is unable to hit and stick, leaving them with 1.

End 2: Sitting two, Aidan makes a nice draw to sit second shot in front of the Martin shot stone. Icky attemps a pick for two but is unsuccessful. The game is tied at 1.

End 3 & 4: Team Martin steals 1 in each to take a 3-1 lead.

End 5: Aidan responds with a hit and stick for 2 to tie the game at 3.

End 6: With one Ritchie rock in the house and an opportunity to blank, icky and ikey decide to make the takeout and take one to take the one point lead, hoping to force Team Ritchie to one in the 7th and take the hammer home in 8.

End 7: Team Martin puts the pressure on Team Ritchie. Facing two, Aidan has to draw wide for the one and just gets there. The game is tied, but Team Martin has the hammer.

End 8: In the last end, icky has to remove a half buried rock to win the game. Icky lets it go tight and yells right out of his hand, but phenomenal sweeping holds the line by the guard for the clean takeout and the deuce. Team Martin beats Team Ritchie again, 6-4.

Endnotes: Team Mader finally wins their first in Monday Mens. Team Hirbod ex-ix3y plus-ikey wins their first of the season, giving Laura R (who also plays on Sunday) her first win of the season in 12 games. Icky's league winning streak grows to 11 but he has a tough match tomorrow against Theresa Currie.
