The day started out with me being my usual self and not waking up promptly, which delayed lunch at the Red Room by 45 minutes. But part of that delay was also caused by shang and hai who went to the bank. We then met up with ikey at Nathan Phillips to skate.
They had some fesival going on so there was music in the background and a beer tent.
Turns out shang is a pro skater and can do all these cool things (except hockey stops). She tried teaching us 3-turns and mohawks and backward skating. I think my skating backwards is improving, I can finally do a hockey stop as long as I'm not going at any great speed, and my lateral crossovers seem pretty good.
After 2 hours of skating, we head back to Shangs so the girls could change while we ate Welch's fruit snacks. Tricky remarked how he felt like we were little kids again. Here's ikey really enjoying his candy.
Here's our food at Le Sélect Bistro. Interdisperesed were conversations about award winning washrooms and topless dancers.
The we headed to BA to the EngSci common room for some foosball action. Turns out shang's can play good defence. But icky schooled them with his fancy ball control. Ikey was rather intense at this foosball business and hai was the superstar blocker.
Turned out to be a great day. Good job to our fearless organizer, hai, who, despite rejections and backouts managed to pull it all together.
