EDIT: This was also the second time in a row that icky had to play through injury in the last end. Last Friday, he was bleeding in the left hand when throwing his last rock. today, after sweeping Ikey's incredible shot, his 4th finger on his right hand got fucked up (a tendon, ligament... help me out bio majors... tightened and he couldn't straighten his finger) and had to throw his final 2 hits with a gimped finger.

Icky was called to sub a 7 pm game. That resulted in a victory after stealing 1 in the last end. Icky played superb, only missing two shots all game.

I then had to settle down to skip mens. We were up against Team Needham, who we lost to last year (the game we had a power out).

End 1: Team Needham was sitting good until Dave's last raised ours in for shot. Icky has a draw through a port for 2. Great line but Icky leaves it short.

End 2: Team Martin sits two going to my rocks after Iszy's first rock to the button was well guarded. I played a perfect guard on my first, but then my second guard opened it up slightly, leaving them with a quiet hit through the port for 1. They make it to tie the game.

End 3: A well played end leaves Icky with an open hit for 3. Good weight and we avoided all jam possibilities to take 3 and a 4-1 lead.

End 4: We steal 1 after a series of great guards.

End 5. Icky doesn't take enough ice for a small raise, leaving Needham with a draw for 2 which he puts right on the button.

End 6: Icky faces 3 with his last rock and has a hit and stick for 1. He gets it started and hits and rolls out to give up 2. Tie game going into the last due to time.

End 7: We struggle out of the gate. With Needham sitting two and guarded by two rocks, Ikey comes through with a perfect run back double and kill of both guards, holding the shooter to sit 2. Needham tries to come around the corner guard twice, but icky is successful with his two takeouts to leave us sitting 2 for a 7-5 win.
