Team Levis vs Team Marianchuk

We were up against the famed Vicki Marianchuk, who plays part time on the professional circuit and a well know skip in TO. I lose hammer b/c they tossed a US penny!

End 1: We sit shot with marianchuk 2nd and 3rd. Icky plays two perfect guards, but Marianchuk's third makes a great long raise takeout. Ichy draws one behind cover to site 1 and Marianchuk misses. Steal 1.

End 2: Marianchuk hits and sticks for 2.

End 3: Ichy draws to the 4-foot for 2. We lead 3-2.

End 4: We have two in the house buried. Marianchuks raise takeout try accidentally raises us in to sit 3. Marianchuk couldn't do anything with her last, and we steal 3.

End 5: We get another buried and icky plays 2 more perfect guards. We steal 1 to lead 7-2.

End 6: Vicki gets some nice shots from her team. Sitting 5, ichy decides to draw to sit 4th shot instead of trying the double (maybe triple) takeout, which was what icky was advocating and what most observers said they would have played. Ichy makes it good. Marianuchk plays a nice raise to get 4 to trail by 1.

End 7: Marianchuk sits 3. Ichy plays hit and stick to lead 8-6.

End 8: Ikey and icky had 4 chances to play a double takeout, but we miss barely. This left Vicki sitting 2. Ichy tries hit and roll but rolls out. Vicki draws to the 4-foot for 2 and ties the game.

It was a near upset of the century, but we fall short. Still, we turned some heads tonight and had Team Marianchuk on the run for most of the game.
