It's been a while, but i'll keep this short.

Thanks again to richy, michy, cherie, the CoMS, amy, and my two cousins (tricky/slate and jushtinsh).

As you may know, Peter MacKay is now the new leader of the PCs. I was a volunteer at the convention from Tuesday to Friday in the evenings after work and all day for voting on Saturday. I am a Scott Brison supporter, but had to remain impartial until after the final ballot was cast. Many of us feel Scott lost the leadership of the party by just 4 votes when he failed to pass Jim Prentice on that 2nd ballot. But it was a fun week, although controversial, and I met a lot ot political heavyweights including:
- Kim Campbell (former PM)
- Joe Clark (former PM and outgoing leader)
- missed Brian Mulroney because I had to work the morning he gave his speech
- most of the PC MPs (Scott Brison, Peter MacKay, Rick Borotsik, Elsie Wayne, Rex Barnes, John Herron, Loyola Hearn, Joe Clark, Andre Bachand, Bill Casey, Norman Doyle)
- all the candidates (Craig Chandler, Scott Brison, Peter Mackay, Jim Prentice, David Orchard)
- Dr. John Hamm (premier of NS)
- Bill Davis (former Ontario premier)
- Peter Lougheed (former AB premier)
- senators Marjory Lebretton and Lowell Murray
- Ontario cabiner ministers David Tabouchi & Elizabeth Witmer
- Mayoral candidate John Tory
- tory strategist Goldy Hyder
- Alliance MPs Chuck Strahl & Rob Anders
- Alberta MLAs Mark Hlady and Dave Hancock
- Liberal president Stephen LeDrew
- the Clark family (Joe, Catherine, Catherine's husband, and Joe's wife Maureen McTeer)
- TV personalities Mike Duffy (CTV), Martin Stringer (CPAC), Peter Mansbridge (CBC), Keith Bogues (CBC), Don Newman (CBC)
- Chantal Hebert (Toronto Star)
