Tuesday Mixed Playoff Update:

The Tuesday mixed is using a modified Page Playoff system. In week 1, the following games were played:
A1 McMillan vs A2 D. Martin
A3 Woilford vs A6 Smith
A4 Hooper vs A5 Martin
Winner of A1 vs A2 gets bye to final (McMillan) while loser (D. Martin) goes to the semifinal. Winner of A3 vs A6 (Smith) plays winner of A4 vs A5 (Martin) in the quarterfinals, while the losers were eliminated.

So in week 2 action, there was only one meaningful game on the schedule, with Martin vs Smith.

End 1: Smith had hammer and facing 3 on his last has to hit and roll to score. He makes it to take a single.
End 2: After a couple of errant shots, icky was facing five on his last, with opposition shot rock guarded in the full 4-foot, two rocks biting the side of the 4-foot, a rock in the 8-foot and one in the 12-foot. The only shot to score was a draw to the button with no backing. On release, the sweepers gave icky a heart attack by yelling "2", which would mean half way guard. However, it was not that light and the sweepers sweep it most of the way and lands it right over the pin. Disaster averted with a great draw and even better sweeping.
End 3: Team Martin takes control with a trey.
Ends 4+: Team Smith could never get anything going, leading to subsequent steals. Some good peeling by the second contributed to the effort.

Final score: 12-1 in 6 ends. Off to the semifinals against the other Martin.
