Team Chang (ex ikey + justin) vs Varsity Girls

after ikey decided to ditch team chang to watch his super hot sister cook, ix3y got his friend justin to spare and brought more fans. icky was not too excited with the fans b/c ix3y's fans have brought nothing but bad luck (except for his mom who has got quite lucky herself =P).

End 1: after gaining hammer and given the defective red stones, iszy missed two takeouts with the small stones. the girls got some rocks in play and sat 2. icky needed a hit and roll to score 1 which he makes.

End 2: after a good series of guards by justin and ix3y, icky follows with a perfect guard on his last, leaving the girls a cold draw for 1 against two. they come up short and we lead 3-0.

End 3: a series of missed takeouts left team chang in some trouble. icky manages to remove a couple of opposition stones but they are left with an open draw for 3 which they make.

End 4: icky's final rock was a cold draw to the 4-foot to outcount a buried rock. it appears to pick, veering it off course. the weight actually looked pretty good. varsity girls lead 4-3.

End 5: we put together a solid end, capped off by a draw to bite the 8 which we get on the tee-line to take 2 and a 1 point lead.

End 6: with the girls sitting shot rock buried and inaccessible and second shot on the tee-line behind their own rock in the top 12 (so sitting 2), icky manages to double the latter two rocks out. on their first skip stone, they draw to a spot that may have made them second shot (though it was too close to call). icky's first instinct was to hit that just thrown rock if it were second shot, but ix3y talks him out of it, suggesting the draw around the center guard to sit one instead. icky plants one half buried on the button. the varsity girl's quiet takeout attempt wrecks on a guard and team chang takes 1 to lead by 2.

End 7: team chang tries to play a simple end. sitting shot with the opposition sitting second and third, icky makes two hit and sticks to sit one and two, forcing the varsity girls to play a draw for 1. they make it to narrow the lead to 1.

End 8: a few guards ended up in play despite an attempt at some peels. on the oppositions first skip rock, their attempted draw around the center guard remains open leaving icky a easy hit and roll out. they attempt the same shot on their last but sail it just through the house. icky is left with an open draw for 1 which he gets to bite the 12-foot. team chang takes 1 for a 7-5.
