That's back-to-back victories for mixed. And if I include my men's team, I have had 5 straight victories.
How did this one happen...
End 1:
Team martin has a full team this week. Losing the coin toss and hammer, we choose red stones. Team sawchuk scores 1.
End 2:
Team martin scores 3 points with hammer by removing the team sawchuk shotsone.
End 3:
Team sawchuk is held to 1 point again. Team martin leads 3-2.
End 4:
After team sawchuk throws a fantastic draw against 2 reds as their last stone to sit as shot rock, icky is left with a delicate hit and stick to score 3. Because of a guard, the hit must be perfect to avoid a jam. It was successful and team martin takes a 6-2 lead.
End 5:
Team sawchuk counters with 2.
End 6:
Fantastic skip stones from team sawchuk leave icky with a cold draw to the 4-foot for 1. The draw is short. A steal of one closes the gap to 6-5 with one end remaining due to time constraints.
End 7:
After team martin played an excellent end up to the first skip stone, team sawchuk's last rock was a brilliant double-takeout on martin stones on the 4-foot to sit 2 as shown.

Icky is forced to play one of the toughest shots in the game: a cold draw through the port in the last end with the result of the game hanging in the balance. Icky makes no mistake against the 2 blu estones, putting the rock into the 4-foot and scoring 1 to win 7-5.
